Hi all! My name is Jenifer. Jen for short – that is what my friends call me.
Thanks for stopping by my blog! It used to be that reading this blog meant reading about my whole life. It wasn’t anything really specific. I wrote about my job, my husband Anthony, my adventures as a newlywed, the cupcakes I made, our dog: Captain Pup, the ideas I had, the projects I was working on… the whole 9 yards.
But that was then. That was when blogging was simply a hobby for me. But now… Now I have a story to tell. One I have found many people want to read about! And that is what my blog, and really my whole world, is about these days.
That story is about a little baby named Abigail. She is my daughter, and she was born in June of 2010. But her due date was supposed to be in September of 2010. Yup – you read that right. September. Abigail was born 16 weeks early. Medically, she is considered a “Micro-preemie” (A baby born before 26 weeks gestation and less than 1 3/4 pounds).
We spent 83 days in the NICU as a tiny family of three. Abigail defied the odds and came out on top. And now, my whole world has become one huge story book. A story about an angel that did what everyone said she couldn’t. A child who defiantly LIVED, despite the odds. And now, our world is all about her and her growth and development and getting her caught up to where other June 2010 babies are. This blog is sort of a chronicle of all of that “stuff.” It is the story of our Adventures With Abigail.
